Per vote of the membership on 21 Feb 2018, ALL TOBACCO Products will be BANNED from the interior of the Post effective 1 MARCH 2018. Those that wish to continue to smoke will be expected to exit the building and smoke either in the Pavilion Area or outside the building. A committee has been formed to develop a long-term solution to accommodate smokers.

Monday - wings,rice,corn,salad
Tuesday - balck history month menu includes fried chicken, bbq ribs, mac&cheese,collard greens, black eyed peas and corn bread
Wednesday - spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, salad

YOUNG AMERICAN CREATIVE PATRIOTIC ART CONSTEST - Entries Must be Received by a Local Auxiliary on March 31st, 2018!

Each year, more than 3,500 high school students from across the country participate in the VFW Auxiliary's Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. The scholarship contest began in 1979 to recognize up - and-coming artists and encourage patriotism in youth.

* The Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest is open to all students, including home-schooled students, in grades 9 - 12. Students must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. National with a maximum age of 18 at time of local entry. No digital art or photography will be accepted, and artwork must be on canvas or paper. It will be judged on patriotic theme and technique. One winner from each Department (state) will be forwarded to VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters.

243rd ARMY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION COMMITTEE

Comrades and Auxiliary Members,
We would like to announce the formulation of a committee to host the 243rd Army Birthday Celebration Social on June 15, 2018 starting at 7:00 pm at the General Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller VFW Post 1503 in the A and B Hall. The dress will be casual with a soft collar shirt. We will have wings and an Army Birthday Cake. We will also have a DJ and brief remarks.
